Registering New Patients
If you are new to the area we would encourage you to register now, even if you currently do not need medical attention, so that we have your records in time for when you do need to see a doctor. Click here to find out more.
We have just introduced a new service for patients which means that you can request help when, where and how it suits you through our website. This online service is managed in three simple steps.
- Firstly you complete an online request form asking for help from a GP or other member of the practice team.
- The GP, Nurse or other member of the practice team will read your request and will decide how best to help you.
- You will be offered an appointment, a call-back, a prescription or information according to the best way of providing you with what is necessary to deal with your request.
You can link to askmyGP either via our Home Page (Noticeboard) or Online Services under Quick Links.
To help patients manage their GP consultation we have produced a short form which asks you to fill in the following questions :
- Why I am Here ......
- What I Would Like .....
There are times when it is difficult to verbalise your problems during an appointment so the aim of this form is to help you clarify your objectives before you start the consultation. Not everyone finds it easy to explain why they feel that they have a particular concern or what they are hoping the outcome of their visit will be. You can either use the form to remind yourself of the key reason for your visit to your Doctor or hand it over for your Doctor to read if you would find that easier. There is a final section on the form :
so that you can make a note of what your Doctor recommends and any future plans to follow-up your care.
These forms can be found on our Reception Desk so please help yourself. We hope you will find them useful.
Social Prescribing in Tewkesbury
There are lots of groups, organisations and clubs in Tewkesbury town which can support the health and wellbeing of local people.
However, people often don’t know about them, or the support they can provide. Several of these groups and organisations have decided to work more closely with GPs in Tewkesbury to help ensure that people know what support and services they could benefit from and how to get in touch.
Your GP or Nurse will talk to you about what kind of support or help you need, and will put you in touch with someone who can talk you through the options available.
Once your GP makes the referral, someone from the Tewkesbury Town Social Prescribing Hub will give you a call to talk to you about local groups or organisations that might be of interest to you.

Friends and Family Test
Would you recommend us to your friends and family?
From 1st December you will be able to provide anonymous feedback regarding your experiences of the practice in the form of the NHS Friends and Family Test. This is a survey that all GP practices across the country are carrying out and will help us find out if we are doing well or learn if we are not.
The results will be published on the NHS choices website www.nhs.uk.
Complete the survey under the Have your Say section of our website or complete a paper form when you are next in the surgery.
We look forward to hearing your feedback.
