Debra and Lisa are our nurse practitioners running an acute illness clinic. They are able to deal with some queries by telephone or will book you an appointment with either themselves or a doctor.

Practice nurses

Our practice nurses deal with a wide range of clinical care e.g. health promotion, holiday vaccinations, and other injections, chronic disease management such as diabetes, respiratory illness, coronary heart disease, dressings, removal of stitches, ears syringing, influenza clinics, cervical cytology, blood pressure, smoking cessation advice, dietary advice, general advice and new patient examinations.

Clinical manager

Angela is our clinical manager and is responsible for ensuring that all aspects of nursing and clinical care run smoothly liaising with the GPs, nurse practitioner and practice manager.

Healthcare assistants

Healthcare assistants support practice nurses with their daily work and carry out tasks such as phlebotomy (drawing blood), blood pressure measurement and new patient checks. They may act as a chaperone when a patient or doctor requests one.

Community nurses

We have a team of community nurses providing home care for housebound patients.

Health visitors

A health visitor is a registered nurse who has received training particularly related to babies, children and pregnant women. Their role is to provide families with children under five years old with support and advice around the general aspects of mental, physical and social wellbeing.

Pharmacist team

Our in house pharmacists work as part of our clinical team. They are highly qualified experts that help resolve day to day prescription issues, as well as managing medication for patients with long term conditions.
