Research

Our practice is proud to be an active research practice, working with the NHS and approved research organisations to help improve patient care now and in the future.

We are Research Ready accredited and an active member of the South West Primary Care Research Network, taking part in studies where we feel there is benefit to our patients.

Being invited to take part

From time to time we may invite eligible patients to hear about NHS‑approved research studies, such as those supported by NHS England or the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR).

Taking part is always completely voluntary — if you decide not to take part, your care will not be affected in any way. Please let us know at any time if you would prefer not to be contacted about research opportunities.

Research data — ResearchOne

We subscribe to ResearchOne via our TPP SystmOne clinical system. ResearchOne is a unique, not-for-profit, non-identifiable database developed in partnership with the University of Leeds. It has the potential to unlock data from more than 26 million patient records across the country for important research purposes.

Data from our system is held in a completely de-identified way — it cannot be traced back to individual patients. However, if you would prefer that data from your record is excluded from the scheme, please let us know and we will arrange this.

Your information and confidentiality

All research we are involved in is NHS‑approved and conducted in line with strict confidentiality, data protection, and ethical standards.
